So he's retaliating to a tariff that was retaliating against his tariff? This is getting convoluted.

I think the general disdain of AI comes from the threat it poses to many people's livelihoods.
AI is poised to revolutionize many industries in the way cars revolutionized travel, but instead of benefiting from it, a lot of people feel like they're the horses getting left behind.

Yeah, but didn't the US also just fund a genocide for the last 15 months? I guess it's only a human rights violation if someone else did it. Doesn't feel like that much of a false equivalency tbh.

Honestly, this past year has completely broken down the last bit of American exceptionalism I had left.
I'm no fan of the autocratic power of the CCP, but like, how different is our government? We're just an oligarchy??? At least they have free healthcare???

If the democrats being elected aren't working for us and actually trying to bring about good change, we need to get them out of office. Many democratic congressmen and senators go entirely unopposed. What we need is a wave of actual leftist politicians to come in and usurp the throne.

Progressives need to forcefully take back control of the Democratic party, and MAKE them speak for us. We need healthcare, we need affordable food and housing. We don't need to lower taxes for Oligarchs, we don't need to ban a Chinese social media site just because our government can't control it.

Maybe it's not actually a good thing that we have the most billionaires, maybe it's not actually a good thing that we maintain global power with the most expensive military in history. Maybe we should be focused on the wellbeing of our own god-damned citizens.

We exist in a system where our elections only allow for a duopoly of power, and to some implicit level, they have colluded to suppress progressive ideas from ever taking hold in the government.
Meanwhile we're being leapfrogged by other major nations.

Twitter always feels like people are at each other's throats any time you post an opinion, and bluesky feels a lot more civil. I guess I'm just curious for what reason that may be.

Do you feel like people on this platform ate better at having good faith discussions? Or does this site just have a left leaning slant that makes this level of cognitive dissonance only seem less common because people are not challenged as often?

Twitter kept stressing me out. Plus, it's a good excuse to push social media towards a more open protocol.

I'm immediately skeptical of any product sponsoring a YouTuber, especially when it feels like almost every channel is sponsored by them. I can't see anything directly wrong with Ground News, but it's an intrinsic distrust I've developed from so many bad sponsorships.

Probably more to do with the casino's predatory practices.
Personally, I think gambling between friends is perfectly acceptable.
I have the same issue with casinos as with the lottery.
