I get where you’re coming from, but I think OPs take is still valid here. A sighted person doesn’t need a physical description of a white woman’s skin/hair/dress/etc to know they’re looking at a picture of Dolly Parton, they can just see that, and the alt text should definitely include that.

This feels more like rules regarding the noun than the countable adjective. “Chance” isn’t really countable, you’d use the same grammar if you’d say “there’s some chance” or “[an] enormous chance”

I think the rule is just, singular form for 1, plural for everything else.

Like I do actually understand why. They have these preconceived notions that there’s massive corruption and abuse of the systems, and are desperately looking for data to backfill their beliefs.
