To become a member, join here (we have a dues waiver if needed - your presence is what’s important to us!). You’ll be sent an email with a link to our Slack, where we do most of our organizing. Join a subcommittee, work on a project, or start your own. weareumaw.org/membership

The data shows that musicians are struggling! We need the Living Wage for Musicians Act NOW. Artists deserve to be paid fairly for our work!

ALL musicians deserve fair pay for our work. Daniel Ek wants to classify musicians as “hobbyists” because he doesn’t want to pay us. It shouldn’t matter if you’ve uploaded 5 songs or 50 — every artist should be paid a living wage.

The company driving the industry is paying the worst. This race to the bottom only harms artists, who are left to deal with the poverty-wage payouts. We need regulation for all streaming services! We need the LWFMA!
