Is this what we're doing? Following the same playbook that just got the Dems shellacked in the election not a motnh ago? When are folks gonna learn that the electorate doesn't give a crap about moral character? They just overwjelmingly elected a convicted criminal and adjudicated rapist.

Jon Stewart's latest Weekly pod talks about how badly the Dems flubbed their messaging. The whole" we've gotta save democracy" message fell flat with folks the system failed. Political elites line their pockets while they starve. They gobble up any message "fuck those guys!"

No need to debate the dictionary when there is a century plus of labour-relations history to draw from in clearly identifying this move as a dividing tactic. By definition, "being open to public scrutiny" invites the public scrutiny of recognizing this as a dividing tactic.

After reading Hospicing Modernity, I've come to look at it more like caring for an aging narcissistic grandparent with dementia who has a legacy of causing unimaginable trauma in the family. My anger is justified. However, I'm more interested in helping my family members recover from his legacy.
