Exactly. He was more than a comedian, more like a visionary who'd tell people uncomfortable truths.

I'm glad I read so many books on people who died young due to drink/drugs, it stopped me going over the edge. I'm teetotal now, no real interest in booze, much more interested in giving myself great memories. These photos of Keith Moon of The Who show just what drink/drugs can do. Guess his age here

I've chatted with loads of people whilst out walking, also with a fellow cyclist recently. I might start wearing headphones when I go cycling, music always makes things more enjoyable. I nearly ordered another book recently (I've enough of a backlog!)

Because of my mh issues, I'm always trying to do things and plan things. I keep my mind occupied and cycling certainly helps. I'd love to go hiking abroad when funds allow, just a backpack/water/snacks/compass etc.

Thanks. It's normally made me give up on a diet in the past, I'd lose 20-50lbs but then I'd hit a 'brick wall'. No more bags of crisps! I'm going to cut down on meals for tea and replace them with meal replacement shakes.

Please do (Berlin is superb) I've not read any of his other books but there's several of them I'd like to buy at some point. I've enough of a backlog as it is though! 😂

That's a different movie to the one I posted but I'm glad you liked it, I'd watch my version as well. 2 of the best books I've read are Stalingrad and Berlin - The Downfall 1945 by Antony Beevor (cheap if bought used)

Chances are you've seen this movie but if you haven't, it's well worth watching....

I think there's still a chance that he'll stay with us, the longer he's with us, the more chance he'll sign a new contract.

My brother and I used to spend ages trying to lay them on their side but for some reason, they didn't fancy a lie down.... 😂

We're always wibbly-wobbly at some point in the game! We're like Weebles! "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!" 🎶 😂

You were essentially driving a bomb on wheels, where you needed to drive like a loon to keep the tyres warm. I remember Richard Hammond driving a F1 car on Top Gear, he said he couldn't think fast enough to drive it.

I'm amazed that more drivers didn't lose their lives tbh, it just wasn't that safe (especially compared to now)

Ahhhh.... It might have been at a later date then. I think that Sennas death was inevitable because his car had been undrivable, that mixed with mental exhaustion and crashes/deaths of others made him an accident waiting to happen.

Where a tire came off and killed a spectator? Again, I knew someone was dead and blurted it out. "Come on Steve! How do you know?!" "They're holding up towels to block the view. Also, they're doing chest compressions." I think dad and my brother were getting freaked out by me by then!

I knew Senna was dead when I saw the aftermath of his crash. My dad and brother looked at me in shock as I blurted out "Senna is dead." I saw one of the guys look into the car and his shoulders sag (it's not the first time I've noticed a body language which made me blurt something out)

Vinyl wipes the floor with CD. I remember listening to A Day In The Life from Sgt Peppers on CD and during the fade out there sounded like a crunch/hiss. When I played it on my Turntable, I could clearly hear it was the creaking of a chair and someone saying "Shhhh!"

Me too! I discovered them by accident after hearing Nancy Boy and quickly fell in love with them. For a while, I rarely listened to anyone else.

My weight is now down to 80.25kg (starting weight was 92.4kg) I've lost 26.7lbs, I'm 0.25kg from my 2nd target.

From 2008 until last year, I knew that no band would ever move me more than Placebo.... But then I discovered Sigur Rós. They're now my favourite band and nobody will come close from now on.

Imagine asking Aryan Pashan to go into the women's bathroom because they were born female.... Somehow, I don't think the women in there would be happy about it....

Definitely. Elena Tonra of Daughter uses her diary for the lyrics in her songs, whenever she's troubled she gets her ideas there. Youth is a perfect example youtu.be/2QT5eGHCJdE?... as is Fossa....

Drifting apart like two sheets of ice, my love
Frozen hearts growing colder with time
There's no heat from our mouths
Please, take me back to when I was yours
And we were in flames
I needed, I needed you
To run through my veins
Like disease, disease
And now we are strange
Strangers.... 🎶

Well if I win the Euro Millions, I'll send Arne Slot a letter and pay for their trip! Maybe set up a match over there on beach so we can watch it! 🏖️ 🤷 😂

Can you imagine the mental gymnastics that religious people must put themselves through, to imagine how someone looking like these guys was the son of some god? "Hmm.... I wonder what jesus looked like? I bet he looked like the original Captain Kirk actor Jeffrey Hunter! You know.... Like everyone

I'd like Arne Slot to tell the lads to take 2 week holiday in Bali and miss the next few matches.... That way, they could be all sat in beach bars drinking cocktails whilst watching Arsenal lose/draw enough games to give them PL! 😂

I agree. Barcelona have some quality youngsters and a bright future whereas RM are looking somewhat fragile. As a Liverpool fan, I'd never leave Liverpool, if I was a fan of another team (Chelsea for example) I'dve chosen RM myself. Dijk/Salah staying might edge him back to us.
