I have almost finished his follow-up to this book... It's been a while since I've been so captivated by a piece of literature. Actually, I can say that it was the first time that I read "Sapiens," written by Yuval Noah Harari, was the last time.

I think that this is not cognitive dissonance. To me, that would imply some internal conflict. This is just another example of dishonesty; this type of hypocrisy is just a part of their operation.

It's still difficult for me to believe that one simply needed to reach out to pluck the proverbial apple. Trump's tenure has proven that most of our safeguards were predicated on the friggin' honor code. And now, based on what you're saying, even less accountability for dramatic sums of money.
