Again, Has anyone taken a photo of Garcia’s hand since he has returned? If the MS13 tattoo isn’t there (assuming it wasn’t put there against his will when he was incarcerated) a journalist needs to show DJT the new photo & ask about it. At very least MSM, ABC & his attorney should make it a big deal

In 2024 campaign when Vance was asked who won in 2020 he said “no need to discuss we are looking to the future.” No journalist replied, “it matters because DJT still talks about it, & it should matter to voters because your answer shows whether or not you accept reality or live in a MAGA bubble.”

Between Gabbard & DJT hard to know who not to believe the most bigly. Feels like I’m living in that episode of Star Trek when Kirk & Company broke a computer robot by telling it something to the effect of, “the truth is that everything I tell you is a lie.”

Per the history books I read, the German business elite thought they could control Hitler if he was made Chancellor. The current US business elite seems to have missed that chapter. Instead they focused on how Russia grew its oligarchy. GOP put party over country, Bezos put cash over country.

It’s anecdotal, but I believe the “profession” of ministers who sexually abuse children is more over represented by conservative white men than than liberals as therapists.

Has anyone taken a picture of Garcia’s hands since he came back? Assuming tattoos were not forced upon him while in prison, and there is no MS13 tattoo, seems like ABC & MSM should highly publicize that fact. Then a journalist, anyone who actually deserves that title, should ask Trump for a comment.

Has anyone considered that Gor does not want to give birth info for background check because he/she/they may be transgender?
Or maybe his/her/their real first & middle name is Barack Hussein?

I believe this is where Joe & Kamala each get to say, “This would NEVER have happened if I had been PRESIDENT”.
The use of words in all caps and/or the insertion of the word “biggly” at some point would be independent style choices from each of them.

Technically Wonder Woman & Superman were undocumented immigrants. Wish they were here to show the current administration how truth, justice & the American way is actually supposed to work. That’s as opposed to the fascist country DJT is striving for. Keep up the good work Lynda Carter!

That’s rather the point. The German people didn’t do anything to stop the Nazi/Fascist takeover of their democracy. We are forewarned, and so know we must act to stop a totalitarian take-over of our beloved democratic country.

For historical context as to what Ben is talking about, look up the details on the Reichstag Fire in Berlin in 1933. The Nazis used this as an excuse to end a democracy and place Germany under authoritarian rule.

If DJT went to play golf at Bedminster & so likely ate there, seems like there’s a chance he’d get sick based on the latest dismal ranking of the Bedminster Golf Club’s kitchens to due health violations.

Good that he’s leaving the GOP. However the fact that he just now figured out that MAGA/GOP is a threat to democracy indicates he lacks critical thinking skills or is not too bright. Perhaps both. He can join Democratic Party, but deserves no influence.

Another relevant item to consider is that DJT is a convicted felon & convicted sexual abuser. It is a fact that he has a history of breaking laws. None of the other presidents have convictions. So it should not be a surprise that DJT is less concerned with breaking laws when he makes a decree.

What I want to know is how did DJT 2nd & 3rd wives not know DJT was a liar & cheater? I mean how could they miss that as, from what I understand from what I’ve read in MSM, they were the women he was cheating with.

If only Mitch McConnell & Rand Paul had had the guts to stand up against our current want-to-be dictator president when they had the chance in his 1st term, it is likely those 9 poor citizens of Kentucky would still be alive. The rest of us in the country would be better off as well.

Business decisions & markets exist in & react to real world facts & realities, not vocal claims & proclomations of those living in MAGA self-enclosed non-reality loop.

View of person opening gate to allow Mayor Baraka to peacefully walk into ICE detention center in Newark reminiscent of time cops welcomed Jan 6 MAGA followers into Capitol Bldg for their day of love. Slight difference was lack of attacked & bleeding officers in NJ & current DOJ acting correctly.

DJT post today validating the point I made about him.
Not sure how your point is relevant to what I was saying, but on your separate level, yes I agree that there should be restrictions on stock trading for Senators & Congressional members.

Or as Tommy Tuberville remembers VE Day, the day the US won the war against socialism in Europe.
A demonstration of why DJT wants to close down Dept of Education: so that ignorant politicians like DJT (Washington fought in the airfields) & Tuberville look smart to poorly educated MAGA crowd.

DJT spoke at Al Smith dinner hosted by Archbishop of NY. Was NYS Catholic Conf upset that an invited speaker:was convicted sexual offender, had cheated on 3 wives, had declared desire for revenge on enemies, family took $ from charity? They draw the line at a photo causing insult, but no real pain?
comment in response to

Interesting that only now with the publishing of the “Pope photo” that organized Catholic body in NY finds DJT to be morally deficient. There was no problem in his speaking at the Alfred Smith dinner during the campaign. But DJT cheating on wives & charity & talk of revenge of enemies- not an issue.

I’m too am disappointed that parts of Georgia & Colorado can’t seem to choose actually qualified & intelligent people to represent them. Not sure I blame religion, however. More like gullibility & lack of critical thinking. Don’t wish to insult anyone, but I can see possibility of a connection.

Koch is wrong. No one has “forgotten that when principles are lost so [is] freedom…” GOP having no care for principles got cult-minded folks to think the price of eggs was the most important issue in the election.
48.3% of us DID KNOW freedom was at stake and voted for candidates with principles.

Of course DJT can’t discuss the Declaration of Independence. In his life he has had no reference to concepts it expresses.
Ex A: “people to dissolve bands that have connected them..” He has never connected to another person.
Ex B: “we hold these truths..” He clearly has no idea of what “truth” is.

Maybe it would satisfy Russian honor and territorial ambitions if the world simply agreed to rename the Black Sea the Russian Sea or, perhaps, the Gulf of Russia? (Sure, Black Sea probably not technically a gulf, but there are a lot of ignorant people who wouldn’t know that - or at least 1 person.)

Garcia is unfortunately (& for the nation that the US once was just 102 days ago, shamefully) at the total mercy of his jailers in El Salvador. Absolutely no reason to believe that the MS13 tattoo now photoshopped won’t become a real tattoo on his fingers in the near future, if it hasn’t already.
comment in response to

Soon DJT will claim the MS13 tattoo was put on Garcia’s hand by a Haitian immigrant (a COVID survivor due to an bleach injection) on a full stomach from eating pets in Ohio- just before he went to his real jobs of cleaning dead birds below windmills, counseling crazy whales & sweeping forest floors.

It’s all well & good to say 2nd term isn’t going so well for DJT,but it’s going a lot worse for the US. Can’t overlook: he’s still in power, he & cult thinks he’s doing a great job & cult doesn’t see the fascist threat to democracy.
He also still gets to golf whenever he wants, costing taxpayers $$

Didn’t say I was a fan of W. But, based on the “greeting” he gave DJT at Carter’s funeral, W is clearly not a fan of DJT. There is a chance, likely small, that W could influence members of GOP if he speaks out. Chance of Clinton, Obama or Biden having any influence on GOP by what they say is 0.

DJT & MAGA cult don’t care about any Democrat’s opinion (including ex-presidents) on any of the fascist steps DJT has taken while in office.
George W. Bush needs to speak out. MAGA can’t claim he’s not a qualified card carrying GOP conservative. Maybe Michelle Obama can get him engaged.

Harvard has the benefit of a $53 Billion endowment as of June 30, 2024. So they are better positioned than other institutions to stand up to DJT. I’m glad they have & certainly hope others stand with them.

Fund managers ignored the obvious. I took my 401k $ out of both stock & bond funds last December. Put $ in money market funds. Easiest financial decision I ever made. Stock markets & businesses operate in the real world, not the bubble world MAGA exists in where DJT & advisors are intelligent 🙄.

When SCOTUS took 6 months on immunity they were rewriting & adding to the Constitution by giving POTUS rights he didn’t previously have.
The due process decision in 6 days deletes what is already in the Constitution and takes away rights we previously had.
Always easier to delete than to create.

Remember in 1st term when DJT press team insisted that “no one was tougher on Russia”? Of course it was a blatant lie. Unfortunately now the saying should be “no one was tougher on the USA”. That would be correct.
In either term, Rex Tillerson’s comment of, Trump “is a moron” remains correct.

Judge should require Rubio to come to court & explain US Gov’t position. If Rubio says gov’t can’t obtain release (which of course they can: stop paying for prison-he didn’t break any laws in El Salvador) then hold Rubio in contempt. Have bailiffs march Rubio right to jail until Garcia returned.

Sorry, GOP Senators & Congressional members more responsible for the criminal monster than SCOTUS. They should have convicted at 1st impeachment, let alone 2nd.
But they put party before country & now we all, including their families, are at risk due to incompetence of DJT & his administration.

Sen Ossoff - agree 💯 with your listing of DJT’s “entire domestic agenda is tax breaks for the wealthy, rounding up immigrants, revenge & centralizing…power.”
Amazingly, that was all known before the election to anyone paying attention. 🙄 But, of course, the price of eggs.. which is up, by the way.

Also brings into question 1) the competence of the person giving the order to do the “scrubbing” so hastily 2) doesn’t military have something better to do with their time 3) what else is done incorrectly because it is being done too hastily? (To be clear, I consider none of this to be necessary.)

Normally, no, the free world would not want the US out of NATO. NATO has benefitted from US leadership & participation.
However, with the current Prez, no reason for NATO to expect any help from the US in any scenario. Seems more likely any info/plans shared with the US would go straight to Putin.
