I just thought everyone had Le Poisson Steve in their head. It's been in there for literal weeks!

Probably not. And even if they do, it'll still leave us with Vance. So we're still screwed.

Time to start a new political party I think. The Egg Party is committed to keeping eggs cheap and trans athletes respected!

I saw you guys open for Larkin Poe in Kansas City a bunch of years ago and put you right on my favorite artists list!

I don't understand. Bsky won't let me post any images without adding alt text. Is that not the case for everyone?

I'm so confused. Where am I? Is this a different internet? Are there two internets? Am I on the internet where soup looks like that?

Right? I already know how to read though, so I'll be slightly less stupid!

You are putting words in my mouth. I never once said teachers aren't doing this. I was replying to Pritzker's post with my opinion on cell phones in the classroom. That's all. You don't have to take it so seriously. Disagree and move on.

Right, but I'm not suggesting they go learn on their own. You write it into the lesson plan. Example: The class breaks into groups. They have ten minutes to use their phone browsers to answer 5 questions about a subject. Each group shares their answers. Turn it into a competition maybe? One idea πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Chicago has a lower crime rate than other cities it's relative size. They don't even break the top ten most dangerous cities. They barely break the top 20.

You're gonna keep making wild ass assumptions about me, aren't you? I don't owe you my resume. I politely answered your questions so if you're going to keep being snarky then I'll gladly exit your 3rd degree.

It's not banning cell phones that's the punishment. It's when kids sneak their cell phones in that leads to a punishment. It isn't necessary.

Why do you keep being snarky? Why are you mad at my opinion? To answer your question, the last time I taught was online during COVID. I've been in PLENTY of classrooms with cell phones. I now work at a university. Are YOU a teacher? When was the last time YOU were in a classroom?
comment in response to post
Limiting use is not the punishment. Getting caught with a cell phone after implementing the bans results in them being punished.
