Degrowth is just the result of his reminiscence of the good old days of American manufacturing. It is exactly reflected in project 2025. Strongly religious, local markets and all in all a romanticised worldview of clear roles and segregated communities.

The (to) positive perspective could be that during the AI rat race they came to the realisation that normally Apple doesn't do rat races but takes the tortoise approach and takes time to understand the human perspective to then later win the game with proven technology in an innovative ecosystem

I don't think polls like these are a good reflection of reality and beliefs people have. Predicting any type of (voting) behavior is shown to be almost impossible and the results are much more a reflection of confounding factors (selection yes, but als timing of the poll)

The guy sells a message that resonates with many people, especially young men. It seems that especially they just cant find the logic of present day Police makers and "aid" to other countries, illustrated perfectly by the subsidies to the shangai opera of £200k.
