For anyone in Philly, the Quintessence Theater's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream is fantastic. They had the whole crowd in stitches. Bottom, Puck and Helena were highlights; Snout's turn as the Wall was hysterical. But the whole cast really killed it.

I heard a performance of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy the other night that absolutely bowled me over. It's remarkable to hear the "love theme" in its original context. It's truly gorgeous, even after years of hearing it played mainly for laughs in pop culture.
