We should talk less about public goods funding and more about open source funding vitalik.eth.limo/general/2025...

EF Treasury has deployed: - 10,000 ETH into Spark - 10,000 ETH into Aave Prime - 20,800 ETH into Aave Core - 4,200 ETH into Compound We're grateful for the entire Ethereum security community that has worked diligently to make Ethereum DeFi secure and usable!

I recently spoke at Ethereum Devcon about PopVax (@popvax.com)'s work developing novel mRNA vaccines to save 1 million lives each year, as part of a series of talks organized by Vitalik Buterin (@vitalik.ca) around his d/acc vision – defensive, differential, and decentralized accelerationism. Introducing deep funding. Two key ideas: 1. Value as a graph: instead of asking "how much did X contribute to humanity?", ask "how much of the credit for Y belongs to X?" 2. Distilled human judgement: an open market of AIs fills in all weights, human jury randomly spot-checks them deepfunding.org

I'm still thankful every day for the fact that most websites are built on an HTML DOM that is so friendly to introspection and hacking. Given the directions the rest of mainstream computing is going it feels like a miracle that we got that and it has held on for so long.

Happy tau day! https://tauday.com/ Feel free to ask me anything crypto or non-crypto related on this thread; will do my best to answer!

This idea from Albert Einstein that the universe has some kind of speed limit that nothing can go faster than is fundamentally absurd. God does not play traffic cop. And the fact that he does not agree to debate me on Bankless is proof that I am right and he is too cowardly to admit it.

IMO a really underrated Robin Hanson idea: insurance that pays out when some condition that approximates "robots took most jobs" is triggered. It can also be done at gov-level: gov buys securities that pay out {1 year of GDP} once the "robots take most jobs" condition is triggered.

I feel bad for the people of Kherson. They're basically suffering three waves of different kinds of horribleness: 8 month occupation -> 7 months constant shelling (or more occupation on the east bank) -> now getting flooded. Hope that once the floods are gone they will get an opportunity to rebuild.
