I'm a fan of D), get some of everything and spread it out, because the next dungeon will probably give me one of the things I just bought so I don't need to buy all of it.

I'd rather have a Day 1 Patch that improves my experience with the game, than a missed mistake that can potentially ruin my experience. For consoles, don't blame the company, blame the people stealing from warehouses for clout and other stupidity of a similar nature.

Games in the past were an absolute mess. They weren't flawless. Several were even missing entire stages, music tracks, sections of script. A couple of famous games literally could not be completed. I get that it's annoying or whatever, but "they are just rushing games out" isn't universally true.

I say this as a Legend of Heroes fan, but that story was built to be longer while KH clearly has not been. LoH also gives new characters and plot threads constantly without breaking pre-established rules. Let KH either die or be reborn, please.

In this totally hypothetical situation, I would have one on retainer yesterday. In the same way corporations don't care about you, you should always not care about corporations. When applying pressure, do so with as many lasers trained on the target as possible.

Fighting against one person's Ryu may be different from another Ryu, but it's like a reskinned boss in any other game. I think it's more about a person's ability to learn and adapt than it is about "beating someone else." Growth isn't measured in you winning, it's about you learning.

The first game is closer to a short story while the second is an epic novel. Hard Mode is far more effective here, forcing me to actually think about my approach to bosses and dungeons. All considered, a true masterpiece.

They will return to something closer to S2 for Suikoden 5 and it will be the only game in the series to rival it. If you want to experience potentially the greatest RPG of its era, go support the Remasters and play both 1 and 2.

Between a more involved story, a better-built world, and a greater variety of gameplay and characters, Suikoden 2 is an outrageous upgrade from the first game and an incredible game in it's own right. While they try to innovate the series in the future,

The gameplay fixes every single issue from the first game, offering characters 3 Rune slots instead of 1, tactical battles being different from duels, more varieties of gear, actual quests for characters that aren't just walking up and talking to them, and many mini games.

You're quite welcome and thank you for listening and being awesome. I don't interact often, if ever, but know that you always bring a fun light on an otherwise dingy day.
comment in response to post
Rest assured that it didn't. I'm fairly certain everyone knows how peaceful and loving you are.

You've always been a positive force for people, and I will always respect you for it. I hope I didn't come off as aggressive or anything. I have a trans brother and will always go to bat for their safety. Thank you as well for being open-minded.

You're a good person and I'm more than certain you never want to harm anyone, but you also have reach whether you like to or not. You were simply asked not to promote a game and immediately went on defense. Again, please just think about it.

I can just buy Nazi products because it's my favorite color. Or fund gay camps because they use my favorite song. I guess it really comes down to choosing what you're okay with forsaking, but if you choose this and people stop trusting you, you certainly can't blame them.

Allow me to be blunt. I understand the childhood connection, I have it with quite a few things. But what you effectively have done is choose your own temporary happiness over the lives and safety of others. Just because we can't avoid all problematic products doesn't mean

Yes, I'm fully aware of the difficulties of moral consumerism. But when a vulnerable group comes forward and asks people to please just not support this one IP, and people ignore that, it's harmful. I never said you supported her, I trust that you don't, but please think about it
comment in response to post
And yet the game still continues to popularize the IP, and funds her assault on vulnerable people. Yes, the devs are just doing their job, but that doesn't remove the impact, I'm sorry. Is a good game worth the continued damage inflicted on innocent people?
comment in response to post
I second this. In a world of amazing games, we can "suffer" through not promoting an IP that funds bigotry and endangers trans people.

I also made a tier list for the cast, so enjoy that. Go play Suikoden 1, because it really makes you appreciate how amazing 2 is right out of the gate. Valeria is the best btw.

Suikoden 1 is still a completely serviceable game. The story has neat moments and details but is largely a series of short text boxes before going to the same places and talking to the same people. That's fine though because it doesn't overstay it's welcome. My final playtime was 13 hours.

After having played the game plenty of times, I lean way too much into my comfort characters (cough Valeria cough) so Hard Mode felt pretty tame after Zombie Dragon, who was also very kind to me this time around. I expected Hard Mode to be much harsher than it was, but that's okay.

The game looks pretty good and I'm glad they kept the pixel art from the original while touching them up to look cleaner. Nothing was added without reason and nothing balanced out unless it was outright broken. Character portraits are gorgeous, music is still stellar and largely untouched.

10-hour shifts shouldn't be a thing anyway. There are extremely few jobs that require it but every half-brained dipshit in charge does it to save on labor costs. Get rest when you can girl.

If I recall the instance, it even makes sense narratively, but yes, dick move.
comment in response to post
Fully agree. For such a huge cast the first game really loves straddling you with default characters over and over. The other games get better about it thankfully.

Also, we are getting the first Canonical game in the series in almost 20 years! It's a great time to be a Suikoden fan. Play the Remasters of 1+2 when they come out on Thursday. It's worth it. Do it or you're grounded.

I've been struggling with that. I can't say I've ever been "pretty" (people like my eyelashes I guess) but it's been harder to look at myself. All I can say is that you're beautiful and that sometimes some affirmations help.
comment in response to post
I say knock it out now so you aren't stuck annoyed about it down the line. It might be annoying and boring now but at least it won't stick with you.

I think it has the most interesting and unique premise for the series, but the weakest pacing and delivery. It's probably the most fun to play for me though. If they made it a bit less open and front-loaded, the story would have been leagues better.

Every grammar neuron is spent on work. The fact you don't sound like a caveman in your downtime is impressive.

But... Like... Isn't saying that pushing *their* personal beliefs? They scream so loud to remove that stuff from games but can't even say it right. Just say you're a racist/bigot and move on, you know?
comment in response to post
Now, a fun social co-op game is totally fine, bonus points if I can also play it by myself when the mood strikes (monster hunter, lethal company, etc). But as someone now on hour 60 of the 12th game in a canon series, solo experiences are unmatched.

The only thing I can think of is that you randomized the CC, but even that doesn't make goldfish an option according to the wiki, so I just have zero idea. The curse of the goldfish be upon you.
comment in response to post
I mean, I haven't played Stardew in years so my knowledge is probably out of date, but I'm almost certain goldfish wasn't part of the Center before. Did you need 5 GoldStar Parsnips and Melons?
