I'm currently reading Isaason's biography of Henry Kissinger. Kissingrr was a brilliant but flawed man. Nevertheless, he was an astute negotiator. Trump certainly is not brilliant, and he has shown that he is not a negotiator.

With regard to the SCOTUS decision to allow deportations to third countries: The Roberts Court is a disgrace. Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh need to be impeached. They may be wearing judicial robes, but underneath, they are as reprehensible as other conservative politicians.

It is times like the current that show how very irrational it was for American voters to reject a very cable and smart woman and instead elect a brain-damaged cult leader. His primary criteria for selecting staff was loyalty to the cult leader. Competence apparently was not a serious consideration.
