Great additional information (in German, use the translate feature) Shows soldiers that highly likely belong to the 20th Regiment being decorated bsky.app/profile/akte...

So all those videos from 34th Motor Rifle Brigade that claimed to be TOS strikes were normal artillery?
comment in response to post
There are even additional soldiers from nuclear units going missing near Toretsk. Irkutsk-45: MUN 39995 (likely the current MUN of 73752)
comment in response to post
The first mention of the Nuclear Forces Motor Rifle Regiment we found was in July 2024, so they likely started forming in mid 2024. One soldier noted that they entered Horlivka on November 13th, which is roughly the date they entered combat.

This isn't the interesting part tho. Just another Motorized Rifle Regiment? No. Two other MUNs have been mentioned in connection with this unit, namely 25625 and 73752. Former is "Khabarovsk-47" and the latter the previous 1508th Repair Base, both subordinated to 12 GU MO.
comment in response to post
However, the MUN could recently be determined, and with that, a lot of the previous unknowns are now solved. MUN: 43879 Attached to: 132nd Motor Rifle Brigade Area of Operation: Southern Toretsk / Nelipivka / Shcherbynivka

In December, another unit showed up for the first in Toretsk. The "20th Regiment". Subordination was unclear, peripheral information, like Military Unit Number, subordination and origin completely missing. x.com/AudaxonX/sta...

How did we identify the trucks? The double digit number on the right side of the license plates, "39", is exclusively used by the 12th Main Directorate (12 GU MO) and can be seen on every vehicle.

A compilation of their MIAs. It seems like there was some kind of mass casualty event near Nadiivka on the 10th of January 2025.

The 238th Artillery Brigade of the 8th Combined Arms Army is indeed operating in the Toretsk direction now. x.com/franfran2424...
comment in response to post
We have to stress that Russian Combined Arms Armies (CAA) are not created equal. While the 8th CAA, which is getting moved away, consists of ~ 9 front line Regiments (Motor Rifle and Tank), the 29th CAA consists of ~ 4 front line Regiments

Russia had already started to move major units away from Kurakhove at the end of December, where the 5th and 110th MRB were transferred and tasked with renewed assaults around Vozdvyzhenka bsky.app/profile/waru...
comment in response to post
Judging from MIA reports and geolocations, both the 102nd MRR and 68th TR of the 150th MRD have done the majority of the fighting around Dachne after the capture of Kurakhove, those units will likely go to rest and recuperation before getting redeployed x.com/Ryan72101/st...
comment in response to post
According to a PoW interview, both the 163rd Tank Regiment (TR) and the 103rd MRR of the 150th MRD are now supporting the Russian 132nd Motor Rifle Brigade (MRB) which is fighting on the northern part of Toretsk
comment in response to post
There has been some foreshadowing for this transfer, such as this Russian mother who first cheered about the removal of her son from Kurakhove (he is a soldier of the 103rd MRR), before getting the information that he would be deployed elsewhere
comment in response to post
However, both the 20th and 150th MRD (which are both part of the 8th Combined Arms Army) will likely be transferred towards the area between Toretsk and east of Pokrovsk. Whereas fighting around Toretsk had been firece, the area west of Niu-York has been rather calm so far.
comment in response to post
This move isn't very surprising, after all the frontline in the area south and around Kurakhove has shrunken considerably in the last three months. Shown below is a very simplified Order of Battle of the area. 20th Army, 68th Corps and 114th Motor Rifle Brigade will likely remain
comment in response to post
The likely date of formation could also be distilled from MIA and fundraiser reports. The first fundraiser for this unit was conducted on on the 9th of March 2024 while the earliest mention of a sign up date was May 2024 (the soldier died in September 2024)
comment in response to post
We have also identified the likely location of the base of the 72nd Special Forces Battalion, namely Shipunovo, Novosibirsk. Note that the 41st CAA is located in Novosibirsk as well. We also have a KIA notice for a resident of Shipitsino, Altai Krai, which is near Novosibirsk.
comment in response to post
Why do we think that the battalion belongs to the 41st CAA? It is exclusively being mentioned in connection with subunits of that Army, be it the 55th Motor Rifle Brigade (55th MRB, MUN 55115), the 74th MRB and the aforementioned 137th Assault Brigade.
comment in response to post
We have also identified one of its subunits, namely the 60th Special Forces Company. The second pictures also is the earliest MIA report for this the 72nd Special Forces Battalion, dating back to the 8th of July 2024.
comment in response to post
They are enganged around Hrodivka since at least 24.11.2024, note that the mentioned 137th Assault Brigade also fights in the area (currently around Lysivka) and that Makiivka (Donetsk) is used as a staging area for many units in the Pokrovsk direction.

This soldier must have seriously pissed someone off to be transferred to the 15th Motor Rifle Brigade, one of the most infamous Russian units. Just yesterday, this video from the 15th Brigade emerged. bsky.app/profile/wart...

We have to stress that public MIA reports are only a very small percentage of the actual losses a unit faces, especially reports about Spetsnaz units are normally a rarity.
comment in response to post
Their latest geolocated footage from 2024.12.02 also shows them striking Ukrainian cars within Toretsk x.com/AudaxonX/sta...
comment in response to post
Why are those losses unprecedented? Despite taking part in the fighting for Avdiivka, we could only find four MIAs for their time around Pokrovsk for 2024, while in the four months since their transfer there are at least six clearly identifiable and locatable MIAs.
comment in response to post
We have evidence of two missing soldiers from Mykolaivka, Donetsk who both went MIA on the 2024.11.24, so the Brigade either still has elements near Pokrovsk or they took some time to fully transfer. There are no MIAs from the Pokrovsk front after this.

Additionally, it is rumored that the Brigade will be one of those whose command will be upgraded to a Corps command (thus gaining control of other Brigades), as a testament to the high quality this unit has shown ever since 2014. censor.net/en/resonance...

As previously mentioned, UAS Battalion “Achilles” was recently made separate and expanded to a UAS Regiment. militaryland.net/news/achille...
comment in response to post
“Code 9.2”, previously a very effective UAS element under 3rd Assault Battalion, was expanded into the 475th Separate Assault Battalion in January 25 and seems to currently be in the rear while its formation is completed. militaryland.net/news/code-9-...

Some recent news in the 92nd Brigade’s structure can be used to display the general reorganization effort ongoing within the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
comment in response to post
As far as Brigade-level assets go, such as the Tank and Recon Battalions, the Artillery Group and other support elements, it is unclear whether they are committed to a specific location or attached to the various groupings.
comment in response to post
In addition, as of early January, data has surfaced showing the 22nd Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion deployed to the eastern town of Toretsk.
comment in response to post
Other Battalions (namely the 2nd and 5th Assault Battalions) remained in the Hlyboke area as of January 25.
comment in response to post
Beginning in late November, several Battalions (namely the 1st, 3rd and 4th Assault Battalions) have been transferred to various areas within the Kursk pocket, mainly its northern and western flanks.
comment in response to post
Since then, Achilles has operated separately from the 92nd Brigade until, in January 25, it left the Brigade’s command structure and expanded to become the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment.
comment in response to post
In late September, however, the Unmanned Systems Battalion “Achilles” was transferred to eastern Kharkiv oblast, near Pishchane, where a Russian offensive was ongoing with the aim of reaching the Oskil river. With Achilles’ support, Russian forces were stopped near Kruhlyakivka.
comment in response to post
Up to September 24, all the Brigade’s units were deployed in northern Kharkiv oblast, more specifically near the Russian-controlled areas between the towns of Hlyboke and Lyptsi. This was the case since May 24, when Russia launched a renewed offensive across the border.

These are the current deployment areas of the Brigade's main maneuver Battalions: - five linear Assault Battalions - 22nd Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion - 475th Separate Assault Battalion
