The structures are as they exist along Antietam Road … a farmhouse and sheds. The Civil war association with the place was more in my head, just setting the mood for design conflict and dramatic portrayal. There is a lot of heated division and conflict in our country at present. 😒

Oftentimes, making art is about composing a storyline in your head, sometimes fabricated to a large extent. Then, somehow your efforts respond and include that story. Far more interesting and dramatic than just β€œpainting a scene” and you have an emotional attachment built in to your work. βœŒοΈπŸ’™
