One of the attributes of most successful politicians is an understanding and appreciation of how stupid the median voter is.

This year we currently have a negative trailing Qtr two weeks prior to the March Opex which has normally taken a bit of the bullish edge off the Pre Opex Weeks, although March has fared decently in such

So many thoughts running through my head as I watched that but almost impossible to express how I feel about it right now. Somewhat confused at the moment.

I'm a little more comfortable discussing politics on this platform that the other for obvious reasons.

Grace is a good egg, I wish Stephanie could figure out a way to get her and Wallace five mins a game.

This year's selection is loved by half and loathed by the other half.

Since we are raiding Connecticut, wondering if Alyssa Thomas might follow. I understand she is a free agent. We could use a banger on the team. I assumed there was a reason they let Temi slip through the cracks.

Their track record isn't exactly impeccable, is it?

I think Temi was considered top six esp if you are a defensive coach like White. I think they just couldn't get a good vibe from her agent or whoever that she was committed to the league. If they pick up Sabally I'll get over this ow, it's confusing.

Wallace got a lot of mins the year before when they were terrible which hurts her resume. She did contribute some on the Australian Bronze Medal team. She is a good egg, gives a good effort is cost effective and is good enough to be in the league, just not sure she will ever start again.

I have slept on it and can't for the life of me figure out who Indiana protected in the 6th spot over Temi. I don't think any of those bottom six past Temi can start for Golden State. Berger and Wallace were probably hoping to get picked up by Golden State. They are very solid 8,9,10 type players.

Its difficult to rationalize any of the bottom six. They may have said hey, almost like a coin toss for 7 through 11.

ikr, but they protected one of those bottom six. it's total guess work. Erica loves Indiana. as I alluded, I think there is the possibility they got with her and said Erica we want to keep you , but we can't pay you like an Olympian, If you will take like $150,000, we will protect you.

Im thinking that Indiana management must not have been able to get a good feeling from Temi's agent that they could sign her to contract that would commit her to the fever for the next few yrs.

Erica has had three double digit ppg years in her career but I don't know what they were thinking when they signed her to that $225,000/yr contract.

ikr, unless they have agreed to rework EW salary, it would seem the odds suggest they covered DD or Katie Lou. Surely someone will leak such eventually. I suppose they could have assumed no one would pick up EW, DD or Katie Lou because of their salaries and chose to cover low wage Wallace.

I'm really interested to hear what went down with Seattle. There's a story there. There is talent on that bench. Why didn't they pick up a player there. or was there a deal worked out that we don't know about yet.

I would speculate they were just not getting a good enough feel from Temi's agent that they would be able to lock her in. maybe they covered Katie Lou. but I couldn't tell that she still had the commitment they coveted.

I didnt have them keeping EW over Temi, was a surprise to me. I couldn't figure out who they would keep over Temi. Dantas is 32 also and slow. I dont think Berger or Wallace could make that team. Really a tough call, would be interesting to hear who they protected. I

yeh, my guess is EW loves Indiana, I believe has a home there, does tons of work in the community and is the biggest cheerleader on the bench. They may have worked out some kind of understanding on a new deal. I don't see any other players on Indiana that GS would covet. maybe they covered DD idk

Im speculating that we will soon hear that GS traded their first round pick for Jewel Lloyd. Something up there. To many good bench players on Seattle for one not to be selected.

I'm speculating the sixth person covered was EW. I don't think they covered Dontas or Wallace. DD can't run the court and can't give you more than ten mins a half.

I was disappointed, but after I thought about it, it makes sense. Temi is 32, injury prone and there is some question about her commitment to the W. I will miss her. keep in mind every team gave up something.
