Gas prices went up 40 cents per gallon overnight in my area of the Gulf Coast. So the latter seems to be the case.

I know of one company preparing to launch their own weather satellites. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but I believe that is the goal.

They are going to privatize it. There is money in controlling the weather information. Whatever bad happens in the meantime will only be used to prove the necessity of handing it over to a major political donor who can "fix" it.

I didn't read the articles, but she's right about one thing, suppliers are going to charge as much as the market will bear. Corporate profits are way up because apparently we are paying whatever they ask.
