It almost seems like the only way to get it right is to take a person’s (meaning everyone, not just trans) performance over an extended period of time & using the average/mean to place them in the appropriate category. I know that’s a lot of work. getting a committee to do that seems impossible.

Yes in strength based sports, it seems trans women may have an advantage, but in cardio based sports they have a disadvantage. It’s a worthwhile discussion to have, but to me it really only matters at the top most levels.

I saw that. Notice how it’s not the top performers complaining about their opponents gender. That fencer that complained is primarily a D ranked fencer. (Fencing is on an A thru E scale, A is highest) Just seems like excuses for subpar athletes.

Makes sense to me. Idk even know why we are segregating sports like billards or sport shooting.

Some of the sports that are divided by gender don’t need to be either. Like the Billards controversy. Why is that even divided by gender anyway? And the laws being enacted are aimed at young ages where sports are coed anyway.

Yeah. I think it’s really hard to make an educated opinion about the matter because there is such few research. Like you said, it’s conflicting. Some studies only have one participant. You can’t get quality data from that.

It doesn’t diminish either athlete’s performance in that race. If anything, it’s actually more impressive that a trans woman won at all. But, I agree with the student. None of that matters. The camaraderie that they get from participating in sports is more valuable than who wins and who loses.

Though there are a very limited number of studies due to the fact that there are very few trans athletes, they show that trans female athletes actually tend to perform WORSE in cardio sports compared to cis women due to their larger frame and lower muscle mass when taking hormones.

The man doesn’t even know what state he lives in. Don’t expect him to know where planes are made.

This may genuinely be one of the most devastating things I've seen about a tech CEO in the mainstream media. Amazing.

He writes a few chapters at a time and posts them to Patreon on a regular schedule. He does not plan ahead. He just writes. Patreon subscribers can vote on things that happen in the book. And some of those votes become defining plots. Not just throw away jokes.

I have actually laughed out loud at how funny this book is and how good the narration is. But when I tell you how Dinniman writes the book it might blow your mind.

Also! Fun fact! The tree pollen allergy problem is man-made! When people were building cities, they didn’t want trees dropping weird rotting fruits or seeds on us, so they planted male trees. Now we have too many pollen trees.

I don’t mind the tree sperm. I can’t with the lady mosquitos using blood magic to grow eggs.
