I think the key here is there needs to be consequences. There were consequences after WWII, and Germany did not keep electing Nazis. There were no consequences after the 2008 crash. There were no consequences for trump after the first term. It was as good as permission.

@mcftw.bsky.social we are on the same wavelength. Why can't a European Alliance take on debt to allow Ukraine money to continue to strive for their sovereignty, and sign a trust deed that repayment via their mineral wealth will be via a fair partnership for future development?
