John loved nature and bird watching in particular. For those people that would like to, there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the West Midland Bird Club, which will be given to their reserve at Ladywalk where John spent many happy hours bird watching.

The family have said that they would prefer people attending to wear smart, casual, comfortable clothes as John would have worn himself, rather than black or formal attire.
