It’s Mark Thiessen. He’s been goose stepping around DC since Jesse Helms hired him to shine his shoes.

My understanding is AFSA is seeking further guidance, but their advice re RIFs is as follows: “If you are an untenured employee, your status affects how you are grouped for a RIF. Because untenured employees have relatively less seniority, they are often more vulnerable.”

We should dump a bunch of Teslas into Boston Harbor.

I’ve been wondering about that too! Seems Trump/Musk breaking into Treasury’s payments system and downsizing the IRS is an invitation for states to respond in ways that were once unthinkable, but are now necessary to counter illegality and corruption by the Feds. Think outside the box, Dems!

I’m so sorry for my colleagues who are still active and who have to struggle with an agonizing decision of serving the Orange Turd or leaving with honor but to face an uncertain future. I’m just glad I’m retired and can say “f**ck you Moron-in-Chief and you too, L’il Marco!”

But the Moron-in-Chief promised to slay inflation on Day 1. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 10,000 times…change the subject, long live MAGA!

JD Vance getting a degree from Yale Law School is probably the best argument against DEI.

Agree totally though it would be illegal for ATC to strike. But resigning en masse would be an option.

We make fun of people being know it alls but I think that I and probably most of you could be constitutional lawyers in our spare time and do just as good a job as most members of the federalist society.

Agree. And Bond was always wrong about martinis, which should be stirred, not shaken. 😂

Biden is a good and decent man, but like many politicians of a certain era, he held on to power too long. He didn’t recognize his limitations nor that the rules of the game have changed. These warnings, like his just announced Cuba policy, come a day late and a dollar short.

I will be smoking a cigar and drinking daiquiris on the beach when the Orange Turd is sworn in.

True, Cuba’s military controls the economy and is brutally repressive, yet for half a century our Cuba policy has been ineffective and counterproductive. Obama headed in a new direction which showed promise, but Trump walked it all back. Yes, we can’t reward the bad guys, pero el tema es complicao.

Hard disagree. If anything, removing Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list is four years too late. Our anachronistic and ineffective Cuba policy inflicts more misery on the Cuban people than on the country’s leadership. Biden wasted 4 years, not even naming an ambassador to work on policy.

I don’t believe these examples reflect any checks on Trump. Matt Gaetz had few friends on The Hill, and his egregious behavior made it an easy call for senators. Having rejected Gaetz, senate can then confirm every clown Trump has nominated. Re SCOTUS, this was Roberts pathetic attempt at redemption

This was essentially a freebie for Roberts (and Barrett) for the reasons stated in the order. Roberts is trying to make amends for his tone deaf immunity opinion, but it’s too little, too late. Roberts has no control over Alito and Thomas, who should have recused themselves from the get go.
