We wouldn't need to spend gov money building it if the gov would just deregulate and give people the freedom to build what they need. Affordability and homelessness is 95% caused by NIMBY overregulation. Just get out of the way and let people build.

I remember warning people about the Patriot Act.
I remember warning people about the Iraq war.
I remember warning people about Trump.
I remember warning people about J6.
Nobody listens.

Interesting. That's how we shore up our concert stages on unlevel ground, but those are temporary 2-3 week builds. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that on a permanent structure though.

I need some context for the dude hanging onto the side of that car.
Attempted car jacking? Lovers spat? Shirt stuck in door of his Uber?
What's happening there?

The abutment on that bridge must have been built by Whatever Works Construction Co.

Well, if they have the esteemed economist Ron Vara with them, there's no need to worry.

And I think Dems need to adopt this strategy for themselves.. not for others. I'm OK with letting the GQP lose seats this way.

At 60, start looking for a replacement you want to pass the torch to. No later than 65, gtfoh.
Those seats belong to US, not you.
You have to be more strategic and less selfish.

We got Ginsburged again!
But hey, we're very polite and wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by suggesting that maybe at retirement age you actually retire and pass the baton to someone younger.

In addition, they are trying to refund them for any penalties they paid for damage to the capitol.

Hoping to see her get on BlueSky soon so I can follow the campaign. 👍
I deleted FB, IG, X from my phone so I can't follow along on those.
Also, this is where the friendlies are, so she can build name recognition here with a receptive audience, minus all the MAGA trolls.

Sooo... is this what the U.S. looks like if we DIY and stop exploiting the labor in 3rd world countries?
We scavenge the planet for the most desperate and exploitable labor we can find, and trmp says WE are the ones getting ripped off?

Agreed. To Raskin's broader point, the movement needs action on the streets AND the courts. I've been to many protests now, and I also started making monthly donations to the orgs filing suits. ACLU, Democracy Docket, CREW, Democracy Foward, Public Citizen, State Democracy Defenders Fund

Good point. While I agree that this court has bent over backwards for him on many cases, I still wouldnt say they are just rubber stamping all trmps cases. They have ruled against him on many occasions.
Also, a lot of the rulings for trmp leave key questions unanswered. An opening for lower courts.

If, let's say, one of these suspects was carrying, and wasted a few of these "agents" during their attempted kidnapping, would that put a chilling effect on these activities?
