Oh, they'll be ready to provide comment when they "talk to the Trump Administration" and send out credit-claiming press releases for getting the funding restored (when it is actually done by a court order). This is their playbook now. Let Trump sow chaos and then claim credit for fixing it.

Respectfully, you should not share the comments of agency spokespeople who won't identify themselves. This is not a matter of protecting a source or a whistleblower, these are people whose literal job is to talk to the press/public. They want you to be their mouthpiece but not hold them accountable.

I get their basic theme and don't disagree with it, but some of these items are very broad/aspirational and others are more specific...I'm also contemplating the implications of wording differences, eg military *investments* vs social *spending & redistribution*.
