Adam (BirdCatcherGames) released a tool to convert Fountain scripts to Ren'py. github.com/BirdCatcherG... Given that Fountain can be exported from Fade In or Final Draft or whatever, it means you can write for Ren'py in script format. (Based on my fountain-tools parser. Nice to see it used!)

I don't think "cover more indie games" is the best direction of travel for either gamedevs or games media. I think we're at a point where both should focus more on genres, subcultures and tribalism. It's worked for music where you have pop/mainstream, and then smaller genres.
