Finally!! Great news - congratulations to all who campaigned for this 👏👏Now we need to make it as inclusive as possible eg covering colleges & apprenticeships @europeanmovement.co.uk

I love how Trump, Vance and Musk style themselves defenders of free speech, while simultaneously banning government agencies from mentioning climate change or diversity (inc biodiversity!), equity and inclusion, or even possessing maps which show the Gulf of Mexico. Torquemadas the lot of them.

Question Time last night was pretty fierce. And had to be. There's a deliberate effort now to shift the ground: towards appeasement, inhumanity and authoritarianism. Once more, we must resist it. We must fight hard for kindness. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Labour bending over to appease Murdoch or trying to imitate the right will not help matters. The billionaire press barons only care about money, not policy, or even Britain. We need a govt that takes a firm stand for the majority and remembers its roots, not Poundland one nation Tories.

Having robbed our youth of the freedoms we enjoyed whilst in the EU, surely a youth mobility scheme is the least we can give them - it falls far short of “free movement” because it only allows individuals to come for a limited period & does not allow them to settle in the UK or EU member state

Absolutely it can. Huge brain gain potential.

i don't have a joke here, i just think it's rad as hell that this guy is making tiny tiny homes that are attached to bikes for people experiencing homelessness in toronto

Elon Musk does not represent the views of British people. So I've signed the open letter telling him to butt out of UK politics. Agree? Sign & share far & wide across social media so he sees & knows we won't stand for his meddling. act.38degrees.org.uk/act/elon-mus... Just butt out Musk.

5 years on from Brexit, there is still no workable solution to the creative touring crisis facing artists and crew wanting to tour the EU and conversely the UK. We’re seen a 74% reduction in UK artists touring the EU, and with increasing difficulty obtaining US visas, the opportunities for UK

Isabel Oakeshott (went to same school as King Charles) has moved to tax haven Dubai, such is her love of UK. Give me strength Boyfriend Tice's family built skyscrapers there Reform UK Ltd aka RICH KIDS fooling those who have nothing...but filling them with hatred of others who have nothing either

Time to Carrie Underwood Snoop Dogg. Go to spotify, hit those three dots, look him up and select "do not play this artist." Disrupt the corrupt. #brucecoffman

A big part of the reason the rich bad guys are winning is that they understand that buying mainstream media and social media isn’t about making money on that mainstream media or social media. It’s about power and control, and making MUCH more money as a result of that power and control.

🔥 🔥 Fantastic - the ball is really rolling now on pressure for a youth mobility scheme with the EU. If you haven't yet written to your MP to attend the debate on it this afternoon... please send that email now via this easy link --> action.stayeuropean.org/campaigns/yo...

Labour's rivers policy is unbelievable. 1. Steve Reed, the Environment Secretary, has decided our rivers are insufficiently polluted with chicken shit, so he’s loosening the rules. Never mind that it's the primary cause of rivercide in the Welsh border region. www.theguardian.com/environment/... 🧵

The @conservatives.bsky.social shameful decision to join the hard right campaign to weaponise child sexual abuse and exploitation for political gain is beneath their office; and the cynical opportunism is clearly shown by the fact that Badenoch has never previously raised this in the House. #PMQs

"There is absolute horror at the highest levels of government at the incendiary language we have seen from Elon Musk." Political Editor Nick Watt explains how Elon Musk's comments on Keir Starmer and British grooming gangs could damage UK-US relations. #Newsnight

Just in from mammoth interview session to two bits of news. One that a DV perp got locked up because of something I did and that a vulnerable constituent had a a massive wrongful debt written off after our intervention. This is why I came to politics, this is why I'll just keep cracking on.

Absolutely this from Ed Davey 👏

“Many people who live in rural areas are surrounded by fields, but effectively live on islands that they can only venture in or out of by car.” Good work over the break by @danravenellison.bsky.social & @slowwaysuk.bsky.social on the action needed to develop safer & more inclusive walking network

2024 highlights. The Monks Wood Bottle passed another year as a Song Thrush anvil to smash snails. It's probably been in that exact spot since World War 2, when a farmer kept pigs in the wood. The Huntingdon Brewery named on the bottle closed 1954, so it's at least 70 yr old. It's stuck to the soil.

Superb news. Historic footpaths will now have a chance to be returned to maps. The onus has always been on voluntary groups and individuals to research and appeal the loss of rights of way. To place a deadline on such activity is insulting and daft. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Excellent to see Labour getting rid of the arbitrary deadline to register all historic rights of way. Landowning lobbyists had got the Tories to put in a deadline of 2031 to register 49,000 miles of lost paths. Next step: a right of responsible access, please! www.theguardian.com/environment/...
