I would say that vulnerable people and the elderly are certainly seen as “acceptable losses” as compared to “the economy” pretty demonstrably in govt policy & majority of pop’n now have no interest in protecting anyone bc its easier to ignore it and pretend its not happening

Because for example, people with disabilities are more than twice as likely to die from COVID, therefore minimising the seriousness of it and stopping any preventative measures (no masking, people stopping getting vax'd), is basically saying we are happy for these people to die.
