Maybe you and I internally measure these victories differently than political stats. It’s hard to embrace 54% as a decided victory. I translate that as “just over half” and that almost half wanted some Abbott-wannabe. However, in comparable political stats, it’s a clear win. Still happy but…

Thank you for speaking the truth. It is our national shame that it is considered remarkable and possibly dangerous to do so. Again, thank you.

It’s a semi-joke post made to bring attention to budget cuts. Whether it was made by an official entity at PBS or not, I don’t know but they have maintained, for the most part, Elmo’s tenor, I think.

This was the practical reason I considered listening…messaging. All the granular, nuanced talky-talk Dems love is not reaching half the population. If there’s a Rep in Dem’s clothing, it’s Rahm. Maybe he knows.

How empowering for the 11-yr-old. I love that. I also loved that WMATA (Metro) here in DC posted pictures of the crowds. We don’t have what you’d call ‘mixed feelings’ here.

It’s a tragedy in the traditional meaning. These people can’t even work in their own best interests. Sad and, unfortunately, they are going to take us all down with them.

I will never get over this display of the ‘content of their character.’

We have to make the tent bigger. It is clear that democracy will not survive if these people are not deprogrammed. Gritting my teeth while in their FO phase of FAFO. It would go a long way to saving my teeth if they would become pro- dem activists. Don’t whine. Pick up a sign!

Do you know if it is legal for govt contractors to donate to Run for Something? (Not that this is likely to be a problem
much longer.)

This matters because we need to stick together as Democrats & oppose the fascists with complete unity & clarity of the threat we face!
Rep Al Green was the ONLY Democrat to understand that if you don't push back, you're complicit.
We're in the middle of a coup & we need leaders not collaborators.

It was very hard to hit the heart icon on this. This a battle and I am so sorry you are being hit with “friendly” fire. We are seeing who will fight and who will take to polite road to hell.

Oh, hell no! I love “decorum.” Anyone who knows me knows that. However, this is not a negotiation at this point. It is a battle. Decorum is not a weapon. This is akin to Trump telling Zelenskyy it is time to negotiate. Don’t know if that even makes sense. I am losing my mind!!!

Thank you! It has to be painful or the cult won’t awaken.

What’s the matter, Rubio? Is the elevator ride to hell a little too bumpy for you?

Now I have the “hostile government take over” guy in my head. “We had one but you didn’t want that lady in office.” Life would be so different right now.

I hope that was everyone pausing to figure out where they want to shop. PUT YOUR MONEY BACK INTO YOUR COMMUNITY. This is what will sustain us.

I can only imagine your struggle. It is hard enough here in the US. I started my day with a message from my youngest which contained sonogram pics. I think about totalitarian regimes and a world on fire and the folly of “normal” but my heart soars. A baby!!!

If you are in the DC area, Purple Mountain in Takoma Park MD is great! They are growing rice in Md! Look for the big purple house. In addition to their produce, you will leave with the feeling that you have met new family members.

Bernie's gift has always been that he can address the issues in a way that is understandable to people who are not wonks. Nothing wrong with wonks but we tend to make it too complex for those not soaking in that bath. (Btw, don't forget to block the unhelpful trolls. I just found one here.)

What Elon did all day:
1. Snort a few lines
2. Pop some ketamine
3. Tweet
4. Run a script to delete the letter T from government websites
5. Carry child around as a human shield

Please, Dems, do this! We need the sanity and a daily record of what is happening. Buttigieg has shown that he can counterpoint them all day long.

I vacillate between thinking the fact that they are deeply damaged and ridiculous people will save us and wanting to vomit as they dismantle government and derail lives.

A young person in my life asked me a version of this the other day. “Aren’t lawyers supposed to follow the law?” Which got me wondering if we have to formally petition the ABA to review? Or do sanctions only pertain to acts within court proceedings or after arrest?

Yup. Early on, we did our own projection and believed that they, like we, were acting in some kind of ‘good faith’ and we just had to uncover it. No. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 1,000 times? Psshh, I have more relaxing ways to waste my time.

Do I eye-roll slick, low-information, and snarky messaging? Yes. But they already have my vote. I’m not the demographic we need to reach. And, frankly, even I don’t mind some clever snark. In the words of Politics Girl, we are bringing a cheese stick to a knife fight. Frustrating.

Thank you!!! @corybooker.com, take this woman up on her generous offer. It is insane to keep doing the sane thing over and over, expecting different results! We will keep losing expecting people to suddenly admire our integrity and sanity.

I hate that airport. Pilots hate that airport. And yet, it is a testament to the safety of air travel, through regulations and training and daily dedication. There you land in a truly urban environment. It is mind-blowing that it has been over 40 yrs since a tragedy like this has happened there.
