I've twice tried to scroll a piece of paper, and then laughed at myself

I've been single and celibate since I split with my ex in 2020 just before pandemic lock down. Divorce was finalized in 2022 because she made it a pain. It's pretty peaceful now, why would I give that up?

A useful observation the article could make with this data is perhaps *where* to target interventions, but of course that is not what the author is interested in highlighting.

Star Trek's 22nd century is a terrible time filled with repressive government and summary trials. The TNG series opener (and closer) outfit Q wears is what a 22nd century Earth judge wears when he puts humanity on trial. Life isn't Star Trek, but people failed to learn so here we are.

The Rowdy Ruff boys were created by Mojo Jojo if I recall my PPG lore correctly

I am also that old, but I more often default to CDs as a measure. I bought blank CDs by the 100s while I was in college and after. Archives of downloads, mix CDs, etc. Even in my 80s C64 days the floppies were almost all game copies, but I definitely had more CDs in college.

Your own control is always the best. Just today I found out the latest drop of Magical Women had posted on Wednesday. Patreon is supposed to email me when you post, but I don't think it did. I get other notifications with ... disfavored content.

Cats are good role models in my opinion. They have life figured out.

When my son started watching Naruto, it wasn't my first time watching, but it was the first time I had the reaction of "Why are these adults using children as soldiers?". Not a unique situation in media, but my perspective had changed. I've not reexamined other shows yet, but I wonder.

I think the Space hippies are worse than Spock's Brain. Spock's Brain doesn't have a terrible musical number at least. I enjoy the premise of both to be fair.

Since Vance has chosen to firmly press his lips to Trump's ass he can keep them there, and away from decent people.

Exciting! I was just wondering when we'd hear more about these ladies.

Physical books are heavy en mass! An eReader with several hundred books on it is a game-changer. I did move away from Kindle Keyboard to the Kobo Aura and Aura One (which shows the era of devices, but they're not missing any feature I need). Kobo supports/sells DRM free format books last I checked

I've bought very few ebooks from Amazon, but I've been unDRMing them with Calibre plugins when needed so that I can read them on my Kobo eReader for years. I heard that similar things work with Overdrive library rentals through Amazon, but I prefer to acquire DRM free ePub books and avoid the issue

I've heard creators claim they include niche jokes that only a small% of viewers will get, but they think are hilarious. They claimed that since they thought it was funny, then probably someone else would as well. I think that's true. Your people will respond to the things you think are good too!

Video DownloadHelper was recently infected with malware, and has watermarks unless you pay for it. Use yt-dl yourself github.com/ytdl-org/you... which is what most any video downloader extension is using anyway

I saw this elsewhere and was reminded of Gandalf's description of when he returned from beyond in the The Two Towers. I'd quote it now, but apparently that's "over the character limit".

A similar poll regarding abortion stances would be flawed as well. The given choices aren't representative of what people really think, or might think. It isn't an accident, the poll is designed this way.

It seems terribly biased to ask people if they agree with murder, and yet revelatory how many people still chose to say murder is acceptable. I agree with other commenters it shows more how powerless people feel than anything else. You have the time to get into the nuances, use it!

Have you seen the meme of the guy with the wall of sticks? It's pretty sweet. I'd link it, but I'm not nearly that organized...
