Just finished “Unruly”, David Mitchell’s history of England’s kings and queens (mostly kings). Quite nice to read a history of monarchy that takes the clear position that the very concept of having a “king” is absolutely absurd.

Most interesting book I’ve read this year was How To Win An Information War, by Peter Pomerantsev. A look at British propaganda tactics in WW2, it includes a line which keeps coming back to me: “propaganda is a cure for loneliness.”
