If I wasn't living on $700 a month in subsidized housing, I would definitely run for office here in Kansas. I wish serving as an elected official wasn't open to only rich people.

Losing the acronyms won't solve the problem. Most of the MAGA in my building don't know what those words mean anyway. DEI is a place where racists can hide out and not be called racists. We've gotta find ways to call them out.

Not to mention their misunderstanding of "service."

Isn't it called DEI when you hire a less qualified candidate because of his racial identity - especially after firing the highly-qualified person who was already in the position?

Or my 70s.

Thanks, Chris. More power to you.

Resisted and called out. Say the word every time you see it manifest.

I'm getting the feeling a whole of toast-worthy Americans are about to emerge.

We were warned in 1941. And still....here we are.

We're gonna need an amped-up version of "cringe" pretty soon, aren't we?

What I don't understand: they love Nazis, among themselves they cosplay Nazi all day and tweet Nazi non-stop. So why are they upset when I call them Nazis? Why the public ire about something you privately adore?

Goose bumps and heart racing. Soooo wonderful to see this happening.

Gosh....look how easy it is to hold their feet to the fire. Note this is something only a constituent could do -- not a colleague in Congress. We the People have power....

It's not about fighting Republicans. It's about fighting fascism and the Christian nationalist agenda. Some of us are impatient with Hakeem because he thinks we're still fighting Republicans. This is NOT politics as usual.

Eghk!

Amen! And new leaders don't have to be members of Congress. There are many powerful voices, courageous hearts, and visionary thinkers who are NOT politicians.

Until they realize what? That they shouldn't have elected Musk-Trump? Many of them realize it already.

Damaged humans like Musk, Trump, Vance, et al are not like the rest of us. Being kind is as unnatural and uncomfortable for them as being self-centered and drug-addled is for you or me.

We are suffering the consequences of 35 years of way too much money in American politics.

I don't know what an MCU Blip is but wow...talk about Trump Deranged. Has that speaker EVER seen Trump do anything carefully with precision?

Depends on which media you're consuming. Legacy/corporate media capitulate because of $$$$. New and independent media are reporting truth, investigating, spreading the word about protests, and interviewing progressive thinkers.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. Fuck Donald Trump.

OK. He is self-sabotaging now. That's wonderful news.

The euphemisms are among the most blatant indicators of their cowardice. They won't stand up proudly for their most deeply-held beliefs.

As much as it terrifies me to think about how bad it could get for the red states, a part of me sees the potential for a dramatic turnaround in public opinion when 30% of the U.S. collapses.

Fuck Donald Trump.

No reason it can't be both but I respect you too much to assume without asking.

I agree. I'm from Indiana. I just wasn't clear on his participation in the movement to cancel Dolly's book project.
