Interesting! I was thinking Simon Farnaby or Grayson Perry (heard him sing once at one of his shows) and there was a pottery vase in the clue package in a previous episode.

Definitely sounds like either Simon Farnaby or Grayson Perry to me.

The British version has no celebrities, which is partly why it's my favourite.

Yep, pretty much!! A gameshow set in a beautiful castle in Scotland where contestants are fake "killed"off each night by the traitors who hide amongst the "faithful". Every day the contestants vote off someone who could be a traitor. It's silly, camp, gothic, bizarre and great fun!

Alexander is all of us. We're all watching at home giggling like mad at how preposterous it gets but he's actually doing it to their faces. ๐

Think about the last time you had severe flu. Did you have the energy to properly read and take in information? Some people with illnesses simply don't have the mental processing abilities to read a physical book due to extreme exhaustion. Listening seems to use a lot less energy, at least for me.

Another way to look at this could be that Oklahomans seem to have a much worse standard of living and are willing to vote for someone who will disrupt and break everything because "well it can't be much worse than this, we need change" etc. ๐ (It was likely a factor with Brexit in the UK, anyway.)

I've been severe since I was a child the late 90's. I always kept the hope that they'd find treatments or cures as science progressed. All those wasted years of possible research because of their specific agenda. It's utterly heartbreaking.

Or at the nightclub where he was selling parsnips!

Wait... could this mean that Owen has a girlfriend who accepts him and his parsnip obsession whilst her purple haired friend looks on in bemusement? That's rather heart-warming! ๐

Margaret Atwood's Maddaddam Trilogy! Luke Smitherd is an author that comes up with some really interesting "what if" scenarios too.

It's been so much more pleasant than I thought was possible for a social media platform! As it grows that will change, but the lack of rage-baity posts and temu ads has been especially nice. There's a sense of "community" here and it's felt like a big warm hug in these less than ideal times.

I do see what you're saying but then if we look, for example, at Trump's picks for the highest offices in the land, perhaps the book has some interesting insights worth exploring?
