This was the first Batman movie I've ever watched. AND I watched it in the theatres. Have watched all the Nolan ones since then. But there's some incomparable visual appeal to it that I still vividly recall being absolutely astonished by. The plot was well paced and written, as far as I remember.

One of the most well made movie series. From production to acting to plot, so much to appreciate.

Justine Triet (Director, Anatomy Of A Fall) had a similar stance about deliberately leaving the movie open-ended (not comparing the two movies or their endings, just the point of leaving it upto audience's interpretation) and that genuinely elevates a movies appeal imo.

I've watched a couple of his movies. Honestly, I don't get the unending criticism about the plots. His movies are NOT just visually intriguing, the plots are very well written as well. His more recent works are a sight unseen though, so cannot comment on that.

1. Autumn Sonata
2. Short Term 12
3. 20th Century Women
These aren't TOO philosophical, but profoundly interesting to watch with masterful commentary on life.

I don't care what anyone says about it. This movie was CINEMATIC and revolutionary (for the YA genre especially) and I have SO MUCH appreciation for it. #moviesky
