Quite a few people in the Joe Rogan universe are taking shit like this as “evidence” of massive corruption and waste. It’s clearly motivated reasoning but also it might destroy our society?

Strangely I keep trying to imagine Russ or somebody just getting ready for the day or falling asleep or something. Like, they’re human but how are they so coldly evil?

"Musk is probably confusing 'SQL' with 'Microsoft SQL Server'" The Social Security Administration uses Microsoft SQL Server too. The agency's ODS's and data warehouses don't run on SQL Server, but SSA has a massive Sharepoint intranet that runs on ... a Microsoft SQL Server cluster.

What we’re seeing is not the pendulum swinging back toward the right after the left went too far. We’re seeing a moral panic, a society-wide assault on a phantom leftist who wants to ban Dr. Seuss and arrest you for using the wrong pronouns and put kitty litter boxes in classrooms.

but ignores the fact that before the civil rights era (which brought the reconstruction constitution to life) the parties were built on an edifice of white supremacy. Under a reconstruction constitution, the two parties have become impossibly polarized and "coalition building" is a fairy tale.

Apparently there’s a “kickoff” meeting between the DOGE people and Department of Labor management planned for tomorrow at 4pm ET. Unrelatedly, the Frances Perkins Building that houses the Dept of Labor is located at 200 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20210.

This is what I’ve been thinking too although I think one perspective is that the republican congress is in agreement with the executive’s actions. Until they’re not. (I understand we may not make it that far but there’s an argument that that point is when our constitutional republic ceases)

What about what Musk is up to? Far more dangerous than simply tanking the economy.
