Maybe try different phrasing and see if responses get any closer to what you’re looking for?

Called both my MN senators right at 9est and got no answer. Left voicemails but I worry they will not get the message before it’s time to vote. How can we make them hear us instead of dodge us?

Please tell us clearly that you plan to vote NO on cloture. You swore an oath to protect and defend the constitution. If you do not stand up for congress’s article 1 power of the purse, the Congress, including your senate seat, does not exist.

I know at least 4 preschoolers ready to cut you for disparaging imagine dragons fans. It’ll be easy to spot them when they come for you though—their favorite color is rainbow.

Please vote no on cloture for the CR. Why can’t we get straight answers about this?

Please vote no on cloture for the CR. You have a constitutional duty to defend congress’s article 1 power of the purse. We pay you to defend the constitution, but right now you are like the cops standing around outside the school in Uvalde while people inside get slaughtered.

Do not let up pressure until they actually vote this way

Hi Sen Smith, where is your statement on the CR. As a constituent, I urge you to vote no and then negotiate for guarantees that the executive will stop impounding funds that congress has appropriated. It is your constitutional duty to defend the article 1 power of the purse.

Tina Smith’s office told me “no position but leaning no” today, which was a slight movement from a flat “no position” yesterday. Klobuchar unreachable as always.

I meant it honestly, and I’ll delete the post to prove I don’t want cheap likes. I was simply thinking along the lines of “the existence of billionaires are a policy failure,” so when you floated the idea of mark Cuban as president Newsom’s Musk, I said what I think is wrong with that scenario.

I agree. If all you need a President for is photo ops and issuing pardons to the real person in charge, then that “model” is closer to Medvedev/Putin, where Putin initially pretended to be bound by term limits but everyone knew it was a sham.

So what are you going to do about it?

Klobuchar is one of my senators and what she has been doing isn’t good enough. I’ve gotten through to her staffers on the Capitol switchboard and it doesn’t sound like she is entertaining the idea of refusing unanimous consent or delay as better than nothing. She’s for the nothing. Primary her.
