I really f**king love Hong Kong, and Funassyi!
Bluesky user #55,617 -- joined in May 2023! -- but am also "over there" too. Yes, I'm still straddling between Twitter and here (because there still are not enough Hongkongers and Funatomo here!).

👇 Though must say right now, I'm feeling good and mellow post having spent time this evening with a group of good friends. 🥹

Agree that the cinematography was impressive. Otherwise, was not bowled over by "Conclave". In fact, it may be my least favourite of the 2025 Oscar-nominated/winning films I viewed (all the rest of which were either silent (Flow) or were in non-English languages!).

😂 I must admit to often lecturing them about being so unprepared for a hike... but then have given them some water to drink, etc.! Frankly, I've been astounded at how they seemed to have expected to find a 7-Eleven or some such up in the hills/mountains and deep into a country park!

The fact that there was actually fairly serious discussion as to whether Coldplay would be allowed to perform "Yellow" when they had their concert in Hong Kong... speaks volumes.

True. A case in point: I have seen them putting the Lion Rock on a number of their posters. The same Lion Rock they felt a need to station police officers up on for this past June 4th.

Call me petty but I still can't forget how stupid he was to try to leave the pitch (rather than just go down if he was genuinely seriously injured) in the Spurs game back in 2020...

Also, the plan clearly is for him to NOT be the first choice defensive midfielder AND he reportedly wants a salary increase?! If anything, his salary should be reduced!

Must admit to being shocked at the use of Cantonese since, among other things, the English on the poster comes across as Mainlandised/CCP English, if you know what I mean!

Interesting, when I put it into Google Translate, it defaulted into Chinese (Simplified) rather than Chinese (Traditional), never mind Cantonese!

Maybe because I am not black, I care about time difference... and why I honestly care more about the English Premier League than Champions League! 😭

The Tweets (and RTs) I've seen re how terrible the bombing of hospitals are from Israelis... Irony is DEAD, isn't it?

I still remember: Tanzania is 5 hours away from me, the UK 7 or 8 hours (depending on whether there's Daylight Savings or not), the East Coast of the US is 12 or 13 hours away, etc.!

Nah. They're in denial about real problems, as opposed to "communication problems".

To be honest, I don't think I'm actually that aware of having interacted with many of them. OTOH, some of the accounts that block me on Twitter I find quite funny (haha but sometimes also peculiar)!

Honestly, he was far too convincing as a douche in "Crazy Rich Asians" for me to ever like him!
