The downside to getting appointed for loyalty over qualification is that he will be too inept to protect himself from the crimes that Trump will order him to commit. You have to know the rules to know how to break them and get away with it. This isn't going to end well for Mr Patel

You can't quantify human behavior. The truth is, we will never know the true number of lives the catholic church has destroyed, but we can get the zealots out of our justice system and actually start holding them accountable moving forward instead of protecting them. It's vile

You're right. There are definitely way more than 25%

Both of my parents, from Irish and Italian catholic families, had several family members experience abuse before they were adults. Here's one story they were both very familiar with. #Vibin www.taylorring.com/blog/catholi...

"Credible accusations" lol I don't know what "actual news sources" you're citing, but I can assure you there are no census numbers on pedophilia in the catholic churches. Most cases, like the three cases my family members experienced (that I know about), go unreported or are "internally handled"

Let's be modest and estimate that just 25% of catholic priests are child predators, the fact remains that 100% of catholic priests know about it, including il papa. Don't pity this man. He has the best healthcare his destitute flock can buy for him

I saw Joaquin the morning of the shooting. He was standing near the bus loop, beaming with flowers in hand, waiting for his gf. My son rolled down the window to roast him and he didn't care. I never got to meet him, but I could see his character in that moment. Humility says a lot about a person

It's critical that Dems resist and refute the MAGA GOP's propaganda machine. They know what Trump is doing is wrong and they need to consistently call it out in real time. Doing nothing is worse than doing the wrong thing. Can't win a fight you're not in

How about two bathrooms like always, but instead of "Men" and "Women", we change it to "Stand To Pee" and "Sit To Pee". It could be suprisingly fun

They always kinda reminded me of Downset. It always fascinated me how regional bands sounded the same but different back in the day. Like Northeast hardcore or Florida Death Metal. It's all relevant youtu.be/sBGreDeFMWA?...

When I first signed up for FB, I could only communicate with the 20 or so people from my city who had also signed up, so I wrote it off. I still regularly report people to Tom from MySpace. Metaphysically of course

I didn't go to college either. The point was that Zuckerberg created what is now FB when he was a student at Harvard and originally programned it to be used in small contained communities, like college campuses. He hadn't seen the bigger picture yet

I'm ok with interacting with people I don't personally know, but it's not going to be on a personal level. The Twitter model was always meant to be more of a public forum and it was so different from FB that it was never a threat. I'm suprised FB never tried to emulate it tho. Bluesky should

I remember when Facebook was only matching users with people in their specified city, similar to it's original campus format, and MySpace was the dominant network. Having a private Facebook like feature within the Bluesky app would be a game changer
comment in response to post
Facebook is about to devolve into a long format version of X, so @bsky.app needs evolve into a long format version of Facebook if they're going to survive www.google.com/amp/s/www.nb...
comment in response to post
What @Bluesky needs is a private feed feature similar to Facebook for users who want to interact on a more personal level with people they actually know and not thousands of strangers who could literally be anyone. I know a lot of people who want to leave FB but are addicted to the format
