I still don't know optimal joker order here. I tried to use a website to tell me but I think the RNG for bloodstone isn't accounted for well. Oh well, it's all gravy from here because I finally unlocked my last joker. I'm just trying to get to hold stake on every deck. Love this game.

I'm sorry the answer we were looking for was "Mexican league Daric Barton." Thanks for playing, though.

Was this reviewed and called? If so, is it a strike?

It's funny how easy this is to prove. If you ask most LLMs basic sports facts, especially ones where the answer is constantly changing, such as "Who leads the league in home runs" they'll give a wrong answer. And yet people are happy to replace our existing, working, methods with this so quickly.

Having more home runs than singles is such a great fun fact for the years it happened

I kind of assume he'll just keep being useful for at least a few more years, like a left handed Sergio Romo. There will always be someone saying "Wow Jake Diekman still throws 94, huh? Let's give him a call." I wouldn't be surprised if he won a ring randomly before he hangs em up.

I honestly think if I had to preserve one random material possession from my house it might be my scorebook. I keep lots of notes in the margins on who I was with, personal milestones, etc. I also will write "Took the kid to the bathroom" if I had to walk away. Lots of really cool memories in there

Is this a box score thread? This was my first 2021 game in stadium. What a strange time.

We make an exception for Yasmani Grandal. All sample sizes are relevant for him because we want them to be

I sat at his table at Benihanas the day of the world series parade in 2014. He was nice, but clearly very tired from the day. He and his wife bought our whole table dinner and he took pics with probably 20 people despite being exhausted. Seemed like a nice guy to me.

Is the goal to keep people invested the entire season? Then keep the ladder system. Is the goal to incentivize bad teams to not check out? Then keep it as a single bracket, no ladder. That's what makes sense to me at least.

I would argue against the consolation winner getting their money back, personally, for this very reason.

Amy Poehler definitely does, and SNL cast member lists are probably a good starting point for this exercise.

I would submit Mark-Paul Gosselar. He's been leading series nonstop forever and basically always seems to be in demand.
