I mean Radim.

Yes! He is wonderful but I can’t afford him for a fundraising video!

I have not!

I feel like there must be something that can track a handheld something through 3d space. I’ve seen a number of demos for AR/VR

Mocap would work I think. I wonder if I would make the same movements in a studio. Maybe from there create a 3d printed maquette, which could then be translated into a wide ribbon of cotton

:) i don’t stand still in a shower, i turn, lift parts up, etc. So the pattern would not just approach my body form.

Yes. That’s right. Or a very very elder millennial

Yes, January is a wash for me.

Well… that is a broader indictment of capitalism and would apply everywhere.

I think this is the definition of being a Debby Downer. Boycotts do work, and have worked. I agree that a YouTuber union wouldn’t work, mainly because they represent such a minuscule part of the content that is being watched. A consumer union would be better

Hey @bsky.app where are you on this?
comment in response to post
No, not the internet. We do. The internet is just a place. People that think alike and have hope for the future form constitutions.

I hope that helps. But even competent news sources like Semafor have made a sport out of going after citation scandals without having competent science coverage.
comment in response to post
Yes that is the plan! But don’t need each layer to be a different color. Just want it to look like a swarm unless you look at it straight on

Man…a bunch of narcs…

I’m a little tired of companies getting away with sacrificing some internal integrity because they have to scale. If ethics are a constraint, good! More companies should be smaller. And the government should make sure that massive things like Meta don’t exist.

We should want bargaining power. Voting with your feet is a massive thing when your business is burned by a platform not honoring the rules it had when you grew your business. You are abandoning something you built. The technology mediated it but act like they gave it to you.
comment in response to post
But what guarantees these aspects of the platform remain?
comment in response to post
I love them

I mean…yeah. (Unless you did something TERRIBLE)

Hits = hires

Like a business invests. Let’s take a local pizza operation that hits a video person to make fun content.

Former? What did you do??? What did you do that made the LOA forsake you?
comment in response to post
I so want to respond to this, but everything I think of makes me feel even older.

I think looking at the business side first is helpful. People invest in accounts to build awareness. The platforms can change whether subscribers see your content or not… on a whim. Platforms can change anything they want even if it is in opposition to the standards they set when courting us
comment in response to post
Oh God. Isn’t the millennial label elder enough? Do I have to be the elder elder :)
comment in response to post
Hmm. Not sure if I am on board with the “it costs money to host therefore your content should be open to their terms” argument. In any case I’m arguing for something simple. An organization in which users can set some terms for their participation.

But then why do we allow it? They benefit from us and our usage. They claim rights to our media and ideas.
