Not to say that's the only reason (you need to have more concrete goals external goals than a lot of the movement did.) But from an external strategic standpoint it was a pretty big factor

I guess it depends what that front looks like and who we define as a lib. One of the more practical points failed is that one of the reasons occupy didn't have more success is because they expected libs to support them and they didn't.

Part of it is recognizing that the DNC establishment is going to be hostile to the left regardless, not saying not to work with democrats on congress but we should recognize that there leadership are not our friends.
