Love them. Went straight on to Tawny Man and Liveship Traders. Probably the most un-put-downable fiction I’ve read.

Back in high school I picked up the first Thomas Covenant book in the library. Fascinating and bizarre read, didn’t get very far but I never forgot it.
This thread is the first time I’m seeing other people acknowledge it exists, which feels a bit weird.

I was a hero to some kids at my work because I did a crappy drawing of Deadpool for them. It’s quite a high

Appreciated this encouragement. I was on an animation kick back in the summer, even though I can barely draw.
The shorts I made were ‘bad’ and mostly ignored online, but they’re some of my favourite work because they were mostly free of any expectation to be a thing.

My Coldplay journey went something like:
- Coldplay are the best band in the world
- Coldplay are lame, why did I ever like them?
- Coldplay have a lot of great songs and I should just like what I like and not worry about it
I’ll beware the curse of moonlight shadow

On second thought it might have been my Coldplay DVD. But then you already knew I had that, didn’t you?

Your skeet (are we calling them that?) reminded me of this long forgotten purchase, so thanks!

I was the proud owner of a Nickelback live in concert DVD in the 2000’s and it had switchable camera angles for some of the songs. That was the first and last time I remember seeing that option.

Pretty sure I wore out a joycon in Overwatch ‘cause I mapped jump to one of the sticks. But then it’s not difficult to wear out a joycon.

I’ll add that I haven’t watched in a long time and can’t remember how critical he is of the game overall. But I saw your tweet and was curious if you’d seen it.

I don’t love Skyrim but it has incredible atmosphere, helped by its score. I can see why you’d want to just hang out there

If it were called Elden Ring 2, I feel like a lot of the arguments against its inclusion would evaporate.
It’s big enough to be a sequel, in my view, and the rest seems like semantics.
So while I understand the GOTY nod goes too far for some people, best DLC doesn’t go far enough imo

On the other hand I’ve seen people literally tweeting “Shadow of the Erdtree is not a GAME” which seems nonsensical on the face of it.
It’s a dozens-of-hours experience in an entirely new game world, and feels iterative yet distinct.
