The Green Knight is the best Hellboy film—it just doesn't have Hellboy in it. But it tells its story through colour, composition, pacing, stillness and movement in a way that is incredibly Mignola-esque. This is what I miss in the Hellboy films, and it's what makes them feel so hollow.
