This is a concentration camp. They are describing a concentration camp.

This is fucking incredible.

losing it at this “to scale” rendering of a six-inch difference in height that renders 6’ as literally twice the size of 5’6”

I've been able to brush off most of the erasure of trans people from government websites, but this one is REALLY getting under my skin. It's just complete revisionist history. How fucking dare they Old vs. new

Autism is NOT a "health burden", "chronic disease" or "mental health condition" though enabling that ignorant, ableist sh*ithead RFK to treat autistics this way does damage our mental health (just reading this rotted some of my brain) www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

WSJ sub: “Indian Partition went smoothly enough, right? Will try to remember to check this before publishing.”

Backlash politics are frequently deployed to urge caution to those working against injustice: Be careful, demanding too much equality will hurt you. I think its lesson should instead be for maximalism: even small gains will be resented, so aim for the big ones—the ones that will be hardest to undo.

a year ago 16-year-old Oklahoman Nex Benedict died after a bathroom beating. in the time since, we've lost more trans kids, while losing federal trans rights. how a community is holding itself together after years of living under Trump's current anti-trans policies at the state level @teenvogue.com

Guardian transphobic dullard Sean Ingle is at it again reporting on World Athletics anti-trans rules. Article today mentions "research" several times but (surprise) no link to any research. Here's what the research actually says FWIW: www.advocate.com/news/transge...

Exactly how much does transphobia have to have rotted your thinking before you write a column celebrating Donald Trump as preserving women's rights. How much do you have to hate trans people to even believe that for a second? What is wrong with these people?

What does the science say about transgender women in sports? With all the talk about "men" in women's sports, it's time to take a look at what scientific studies say. A brilliant article 👏👏 www.advocate.com/news/transge...

"Donald Trump may be the president of the United States, but Musk has made himself its CEO." read @wired.com executive editor @brbarrett.bsky.social on Elon Musk attempting to run the US like a software startup:

When I first joined social media it took me a surprising amount of time to "like" anything with a heart and feel confident that was understood as "I appreciate that you are posting this thing even though it is reporting on something that is horrifying" rather than "I love this horrifying thing"

A/P [Feb 5] -- Bills have been introduced in Arizona, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Montana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas & Virginia that would cut off public funding for gender affirming care for _adults_. Georgia's is the first to advance out of committee. [by @rikiwilchins.bsky.social‬]

i'll be blunt, if you are someone who is vocal about the ways that diversity efforts "divide the working class" but silent about the ways that *actual racism and discrimination* divide the working class, then i think you're just an opportunist

Judith Butler on Trumpism's "fascist passions" and shameless hatred of trans people, migrants, Palestinians - while affirming our own passions for "an equality that makes good on democratic promises" - is the article I needed to read today www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The CIA being ovethrown by a right-wing coup is, one must admit, a pretty hilarious outcome for the Agency

I know it's basically just kicking rocks to rant on this, but I surveyed the US/UK articles on "Trump's Gaza plan" looking for "ethnic cleansing" (only found in a direct quote) or "colonialism" (still looking). Flagrantly ignoring international law "will be seen" as against international law. Gah!

BREAKING: 🚨Trump Interior Secretary Doug Burgum just signed a suite of orders that aim to boost fossil fuel production, including reopening vast swathes of US oceans to offshore oil and gas drilling. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

Amidst all the other unhinged stuff, who the fuck is "go team lead"?!

More of this please

seeing takes about the aid institutions and their role in imperialism. correct. If someone said "investor-owned hospitals exploit the vulnerable to benefit shareholders" I'd nod. If their followup was "and that's why I'm turning off your mom's dialysis machine" I'd...have some followup questions

This Govt has raised tuition fees, won't reopen Erasmus, is killing their trans friends, isn't serious about climate change, won't tax the rich, and has done nothing on housing. And it's elected and pretends to be left. And you ask why Gen Zs don't like democracy? www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

hey quick question does Goliath win in that story

1. Breaking News: Donald Trump has signed an executive order targeting trans youth and teachers in schools who teach for them. It goes after "social transition" and threatens arrests. I will go through line by line, as I have the last 3 nights. Find the EO here: www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

Here it is. This is abominable.

this really is "just asking questions" laid bare. there's no basis to ask the question. you're only asking because you have a preferred outcome that is contrary to all of the evidence.

When your coverage gleefully prioritizes authoritarian aesthetics over substance and the real danger to lives and livelihoods, you should know you are doing journalism completely wrong.
