Google Docs is usually my go-to for document writing, but what is WITH all the AI? It almost unusable now. The Gemini UI barges in and appears wherever I'm going to type, and there are constant "would you like me to write/re-word this for you?" pop ups... why would you DO this to your own product?

A friend and I churned out stacks of home-brew gaming expansions using Google Docs over the last two years.
At first it was great, I'd even do tons of editing on my phone. Now I can't do more than 5 minutes without it devouring my mobile battery. Its janky and intrusive. We've moved on.
