I knew Carswell quite well back when I was a journalist. I could not have disagreed more with his politics, but the man himself was intelligent and considered, and a good MP. It is sad to read this kind of populist crap. He moved to the US so no doubt is swept up in whole MAGA bs.

Post 2020 I never saw these people again.
