Vaccines are among the best of inventions. There's a high chance that without them, and the herd immunity they can deliver, you'd either not be here or would face a lifelong disability: *whether or not you had them yourself*. It seems crazy to have to point this out, but we forget it at our peril.

With more privatised healthcare system 🤦♀️ not much hope of living longer.
You tried to get to see a Dr lately? We seem to be going backwards. My great-aunts lived till 106, 108
I’ve been to a doctor twice in my adult life. Once for nosebleeds and once for a wart - both times they refused to do anything. I won’t be going again.
Humans are great at inventing things but not good at dealing with the consequences of those inventions.
Now that few know this, other than historians, our fear of disease has been replaced with disdain for the science.
It's a classic case of survivor bias. We've had effective vaccines for so long now people have forgotten what the world was like before them.
You wanna know what people did before vaccines? THEY DIED.
Plus the Rumi on your page. Thanks.
He didn’t thankfully, but that memory has stayed with me over 50 years.
*so depressing
Never forgot this story. I'd probably be dead several times over if not for vaccines.
Food Babe and Avocado Wolfe have so much to answer for.
