The penalty decision should have been overturned, clear touch of the ball by the defender before contact with the attacker. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but makes it even in reffing mistakes.

Why did the goalkeeper deliberately, cynically commit handball, if he didn't think it was goalscoring opportunity? There was no other reason for him to do it. VAR bottled it because it was a cup final. At the very least, VAR should have sent the referee to the monitor to review it himself.

Taken to an extreme every time an attacking player has the ball anywhere near the goal it's a goalscoring opportunity. If the ref had seen I thought a free kick and a yellow. Presumably that's what VAR would have advised if they could.

Henderson handled the ball outside the box & should have been sent off. That he wasn’t is down to the MATCH OFFICIALS. What did Guardiola expect Henderson to do, tell the referee to send him off? What would he expect Ortega to do in the same situation? Guardiola really is an embarrassment at times!
