Reality: Some folks are turning in their google search as work product and claiming it’s AI and really feel bad about it so they use BIG FONT to say everyone is doing it.
The only thing I’m using AI for is to give my mouse wheel more exercise as I scroll past its rubbish to get to the search results. (And I’m kind of mad about the environmental harms.)
I swapped to Duck Duck Go from Google for this reason, but if I'm being deeply honest Duck Duck Go isn't nearly as good even though Google has gotten so much worse. It's a pain in the ass.
They are using it for just enough things that it’s hard to tell if it’s everywhere or not. All documentation everywhere is suspect now. And it’s awful.
That's the problem - and a bigger problem is that it's being shoved into too much too fast, despite the constant reporting of its flaws and lack of regulation for things far more important than people prompt it to create babies swimming in a pool under a green sunset...🙄
AI becomes a danger, if you do not orchestrate and control its activities/responses by professional methods of prompting and checking. So, as always, the sales people lie when they promise fast and effortless help in audio, text and image. AI can be a help for AI experts, and nobody else.
