Los Angeles, CA - Police and protesters playing hot potato with cans of chemical munitions on Temple and Main. Things continuing to be tense between protesters and police here in downtown Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA - In front of city hall in downtown. Two separate protest groups are prevented from joining by LASD throwing stun grenades and chemical munitions. Protesters are yelling “peaceful protest” off and on. Have seen some “return fire” here and there.
Small reporter update while I (@melbuer.bsky.social) still have control of the account: Sean’s good, locked in OTG—so good in fact that he’s arguing with me about the proper usage of “in twain” lmao
kinda hard to see if you're not looking for it but for anyone who might be looking to try something like this make sure not to do it with your bare hands
yup. they are incredibly hot. i made the mistake of putting a spent smoke in my pocket years ago and got the shit burned out of me. served me right lol
KTLA being somewhat sympathetic also, reporting that people are confused, don't know where they're supposed to go, and don't know why police are doing this
From the scanner right now: LAPD is taking rubber bullets from LASD. I am not joking. (They're in each other's crossfire, it's a clusterfuck that they've largely brought on themselves)
Do you have the ability to record? Not sure if scanner activity gets saved but that would be huge in case they want to claim civilians hit them with things.
They just trampled East Los Audits while he was live streaming on YouTube. He’s fine. The phone kept streaming from the street as horses and cops went by. Insanity!!

Sean reporting at least two injured from his vantage point.
Horse mounted LAPD units continuing to charge into the crowd near LAPDHQ here downtown. It’s creating a lot of panic, and they’re surging quite fast.

They could capture and extinguish one in 10 seconds.
People here should study their tactics
Their fight was futile but they did it anyway. They knew how much they had to lose. I wish more ppl here took what's happening seriously.
Awesome work
