If the Capitol Police are authorized to arrest them, then yes, they should...but what if they choose not to for whatever reason? Who else?

We can't declare it hopeless because the people in power right now are unlikely to do anything, we need to demand the removal of those people who are in power.

They answer first and foremost to the law. He is not a king, they are not his private army, and he can't tell them to ignore crimes..
It's not going to be long - a year, maybe less - until there is no shot law enforcement does anything. But now? There are plenty who have good reason to.
There's also the possibility of federal police who are unwilling to support the coup.
Until Dems control both chambers/the Presidency again, don’t pretend they can fix all of this.
