Just read the response from Costco to shareholders requesting it back down from DEI. It was glorious. It begins "Our Board has considered this proposal and believes … an enterprise rooted in respect and inclusion is appropriate and necessary." and gets better. A happy investor #diversityandinclusion

Costco Manager: Let's get you up to the customer service desk
Customer: Thanks! I knew a manager would help solve this!
Costco Manager: Cancel their membership
Costco canceled their memberships on the spot and had them trespassed
Zero tolerance
This guy was also famously fired from his job the next day

“This is our policy, we are a private business and you are on private property”
They gave them 2 - 3 opportunities to change behavior, then cancelled their membership, notified them they were trespassed and in some cases called the police
I’m disappointed they went down this road.
Mad? Provide examples of how it has scums de any positive impact .
Also, check how much money DEI consultants have made on this nonsense.
* how it has made
(Last IOS update has rather reset autocorrect - any one else note this ?)
:)
DEI pushes the element of race in the hiring process.
That is blatantly illegal…race can not be used as consideration in the hiring process.
Every good business owner knows that hiring the best, brightest, & most qualified, regardless of race, is always the best option.
Also, look how many have dropped the programs.
It is a waste of money.
Quantify the positive impact these programs have made.
This makes me love them even more!
Um, just for future reference, which one
$BunnyBismuth on Cashapp and Venmo.
I could always use some help.
This dumb reply
Blowing up like nothing else I've ever said on here?!
I'm going to get a membership!
"Despite making $6.3 billion in profits last year, [COSTCO] seems to be shifting from its once pro-worker stance. Allegations of union-busting tactics, like removing union literature & locking union reps out of bulletin boards, aren't exactly a good look."

Costco is an ethical corporation.
Because companies want to make money, and their metrics show diversity makes money.

Like, the people who say "go woke, go broke" are forgetting the reason it went broke is frequently because of ideologically-driven boycotts, not the actual organically-reacted-to merits of the product.
The haters lie and say it's a scam. It isn't. It's legitimately profitable.
If you have half a clue, you e get better products and services and save money. You get better employee retention, and all that equals profit.
If you do it because you "have" to and can't see the value of it, congrats, you are going out of business.
It’s illegal to consider race during the hiring process, but that is exactly what DEI does, it pushes the consideration of race in hiring.
If affirmative action and DEI are detrimental to America, why should we accept the promotions and advancements of unqualified individuals who are not people of color?
You don’t have to accept anything but the only folks hurt by an unqualified person being promoted is the company 1/2
2/2
I’ve said over & over again that employers should hire the best, brightest, & most qualified, REGARDLESS of race.
DEI programs limit the pool of applicants to only those of a particular race/gender, therefore the employer can’t ever know if the…. 1/2
Not to mention that using race as a factor in hiring is illegal.
Wake up.
There are more of us than them. Something like 100 million didn't vote but that doesn't mean they like Trump. Let's help them find http://mobilize.us & transform anger/fear into community & collective action.

Around here it's been common knowledge for years that the only way you get a job at Costco is when somebody already working there either requires, moves, or dies.
They have a reputation for being a damn good employer & this is just one reason why.
Also, friends (if you feel like blocking mean people) check the replies for m-a g a ding dongs, they hate it when decency comes from the private sector.

I'm mad I didn't get stock options when i worked there. I'd be up about 10,000 by now.
I just never figured out how to set up the stock option with each cheque.
